COLFAX, Wash. —

Court documents filed Thursday in Whitman County describe how a teenager from the town of Malden died and how suspects tried to hide his body.

KREM reports ( http://bit.ly/XgBNah) a witness told investigators 17-year-old Donavin Stapert passed out and died March 6 after eating chunks of methamphetamine.

Three people jailed in connection with the case are accused of providing Stapert with the drug and covering up his death.

Investigators looking for Stapert dug up a body Wednesday near Chatteroy. The body has not yet been identified by the Spokane County medical examiner.
