SPOKANE, Wash. —

A man who was killed by a homeowner while allegedly trying to steal a vehicle died from a single gunshot wound to the head.

That's according to the Spokane County Medical Examiner's office. The man was identified as 25-year-old Brendon T. Kaluza-Graham.

Spokane police say Kaluza-Graham died Monday morning after a homeowner called 911 to report that his vehicle had been stolen, that the alleged thief was armed, and that he had fired at the thief.

Kaluza-Graham was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
