SEATTLE —

Seattle police say a burglary suspect shot by a Bellevue SWAT team in south Seattle has died.

Seattle police spokeswoman Renee Witt says the man died Friday morning at Harborview Medical Center.

She says a Seattle police SWAT team has replaced Bellevue and is preparing to search a house where another suspect may be inside.

Bellevue police spokeswoman Carla Iafrate (ee-uh-FRAH'-tay) says a Bellevue officer shot the man in a car outside the house about 5 a.m. as they approached, looking for suspects in a string of burglaries.
