A Bellevue police SWAT team looking for burglary suspects shot a man as officers surrounded a house early Friday in a south Seattle neighborhood.
Bellevue police spokeswoman Carla Iafrate (ee-uh-FRAH'-tay) says a Bellevue officer shot a man in a car outside the house. He's been taken to Harborview Medical Center, condition unknown.
The spokeswoman says details of the shooting are uncertain at this point and will be investigated by Seattle police.
No officers were injured.
The Bellevue SWAT team was working with Seattle police serving a search warrant about 5 a.m. at a house near 42nd Ave. S. and S. Hudson St. They were looking suspects in several burglaries in Bellevue and Seattle.
The house remained blocked off at 7 a.m. for a search and the shooting investigation.
