A woman whose body was found Thursday in a Yakima canal drowned.

YAKIMA, Wash. —
A woman whose body was found Thursday in a Yakima canal drowned.
County Coroner Jack Hawkins told the Yakima Herald-Republic (http://bit.ly/16N7w4B) 62-year-old Valerie Winnier lived a few blocks away and walked in the area.
There's no evidence of a crime, but police are treating the death as suspicious and looking for witnesses.
