OCEAN SHORES, Wash. —

Police say a 95-year-old woman who is hard of hearing was unaware there was a burglar in her Ocean Shore home until he ran past her as she was watching TV.

Deputy Chief Russ Fitts says a witness called police to report seeing a man break into the woman's home through a window.

When officers arrived he fled out the front door. They arrested him and found money from the home.
