The Pierce County prosecutor says a 25-year-old man has been sentenced to nearly 22 years in the stabbing death of his pregnant girlfriend.
Joseph Lester was convicted of second-degree murder for killing 21-year-old Keisha Lewis. He was sentenced Friday.
Prosecutor Mark Lindquist said Lester's "murderous rage" left two young children without their mother.
After the Oct. 31, 2011, stabbing, Lester fled in his car with the couple's 9-month-old daughter. He turned himself in hours later.
At trial, he claimed he had been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder when the stabbing occurred.
