YAKIMA, Wash. —

Police say street racing caused a crash in Yakima that injured a woman and her 4-year-old son.

One of two cars speeding about 65 mph slammed into the woman's car Thursday as it pulled out of a parking lot.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports (http://bit.ly/12VFEw4) the 26-year-old woman had severe internal injuries. Her son was in a car seat and was cut by broken glass.

The other driver in the crash was not seriously injured and he was arrested at the scene. The other driver involved in the race was tracked down and questioned. Both drivers accused of street racing are expected to charged with vehicular assault.
