Grant County Undersheriff Dave Ponozzo was injured in a collision Tuesday on Highway 28 near Soap Lake.

The Washington State Patrol says Ponozzo was driving a sheriff's SUV that hit a car that had stopped to make a left turn.

State Trooper Darren Wright told iFIBER One News ( http://bit.ly/XuIuG8) Ponozzo was shaken up but is doing OK. He was taken to Columbia Basin Hospital in Ephrata.

The other driver had minor injuries.
