King County prosecutors are expected to file charges Wednesday against a woman accused of shooting a co-worker and threatening another in the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department.
The 46-year-old Carolyn Piksa was arrested at her home Friday where she was tracked after a shooting that wounded a 65-year-old man at a maintenance building at Green Lake park. Police say she also brandished a handgun at a community center, which led to a shutdown of all community centers in Seattle.
Piksa is held on $1 million bail pending assault charges.
She worked as an assistant coordinator for community centers and has been a Parks and Recreation Department employee since 1986.
