Officials are trying to identify a woman who was shot to death early Monday outside an apartment complex in Spokane, near Spokane Falls Community College.

The police department has released photos of tattoos on the woman's arm and hip, asking if anyone recognizes them ( http://www.spokanepolice.org/news/default.aspx?ID1917).

The Spokesman-Review reports ( http://bit.ly/Y6Uc7u) the woman in her late teens or early 20s stood 5-foot-7, weighed 154 pounds and had brown hair and light brown eyes.

The body was found by officers responding to a report of a gunshot. Police spokeswoman Monique Cotton said investigators had no suspect or possible motive.
