The weather forecast in a word this week in Washington is "wet."
The National Weather Service says a warm front moving onshore Monday will hang over Western Washington into Wednesday. Forecasters say rain will be heavy at times along the coast and over the Olympics and North Cascades where totals of 2 to 4 inches are expected by Wednesday night.
The warm front will raise the snow level to around 6,000 feet. Rain and snowmelt could fill some rivers close to flood stage.
In Eastern Washington, forecasters also say several rounds of rain and snow melt this week will cause many rivers to rise.
