Seattle police say officers are looking for an armed woman seen on the streets of north Seattle.

According to the police department's Twitter feed, the woman is wanted in connection with a shooting in the area that left a 70-year-old man wounded. Police say there have been reports the woman is near the Bitter Lake Community Center.

Police have advised a nearby school to go on lockdown as they search of the woman.

The fire department says the man has been transported to a hospital in critical condition.

Initial reports were of a shooting inside a building in north Seattle.
