Ore. grocery empties as customers report foul odor
A fire chief in St. Helens, Ore., says 30 customers at a grocery store reported breathing difficulties, dizziness and other symptoms after saying they smelled a foul odor.

A fire chief in St. Helens, Ore., says 30 customers at a grocery store reported breathing difficulties, dizziness and other symptoms after saying they smelled a foul odor.
Columbia River Fire and Rescue Chief Jay Tappan said the store was temporarily closed while officials look for the cause of the odor, described as smelling like a gas or ammonia.
The Oregonian reports ( http://is.gd/PT5Skm) one man was taken to a hospital as a precaution late Wednesday afternoon.
Most customers said they felt better once they got outside.
St. Helens is north of Portland.
