SEATTLE —

A man who spent the night in a wrecked car down a Seattle ravine was cold and suffering from cuts and bruises when he was found and rescued by firefighters.

KOMO reports ( http://bit.ly/1027gtZ) the car crashed Monday night but the wreck wasn't discovered until 8:30 a.m. Tuesday when it was noticed by a resident in the Lake City neighborhood on his way to work.

Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore says firefighters stabilized the car with ropes and cut off the roof to extricate the driver who was stuck under the dashboard.

The 67-year-old man was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
