TACOMA, Wash. —

Tremaine Isabell scored 16 of his 21 points in the first half and Lakeside beat Lincoln 86-67 in the Class 3A semifinals Friday night, setting up an anticipated rematch against Rainier Beach.

The Lions (23-3) never gave Lincoln a chance, breaking out to leads of 11-2 and 30-12 before running away with a 19-point win. Lakeside will face Rainier Beach for the state title Saturday night.

Isabell helped stake Lakeside to a 45-26 halftime lead, and finished with 21 despite sitting out most of the fourth quarter. Teammate Matthew Poplawski made five first-half 3-pointers as the Lions went 8-of-14 from behind the arc through the first 16 minutes. Poplawski finished with a team-high 23 points.

Lincoln (22-4) trailed by as many as 30 before making a run midway through the fourth quarter. Three consecutive technical fouls on the Abes, and a subsequent ejection, with 3:07 remaining put an end to the brief momentum shift.

Amaad Rorie led the Abes with 28 points.
