SPOKANE, Wash. —

Chanel Knight rebounded her own miss and scored as time expired to lift Northwest Christian to a wild 47-46 victory over Pe Ell on Friday and into the Class 2B girls state title game.

Maria Guske finished with 11 points and Hannah Dietzen had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Crusaders (23-6), who will face two-time defending champion Reardan. Alissa Brooks Johnson scored 20 points for the Trojans (22-2), who will play for third place.

With 3.3 seconds left and Northwest Christian trailing by one, Knight took the inbounds pass under her own basket and tossed up a shot that fell short. She grabbed the rebound and got it off in time to beat the buzzer and give the Crusaders a stunning win.

Leading 46-45 with 10.1 seconds, Pe Ell seemed to have the game in hand after an intentional foul by Northwest Christian. But Pe Ell's Sami Robinson missed both foul shots. Northwest Christian's Rachel Bozlee stole the ensuing inbounds pass and fired it to a streaking Guske, who missed a layup. The rebound was knocked out of bounds under the basket by Pe Ell, setting up Knight's game-winner.
