Mark Morris outlasts River Ridge in overtime

YAKIMA, Wash. —

Raimee Sluder hit two free throws with 28 seconds remaining in overtime to lift Mark Morris to a 49-46 victory over River Ridge on Friday in the Class 2A girls state semifinals.

The win sends the Monarchs (24-2) into Saturday's championship game against W.F. West.

Kourtney Eaton, who finished with a team-high 15 points, sank two free throws with 9 seconds left. A last-second 3-point attempt by River Ridge hit the back rim and bounced out.

Trailing most of the game, Mark Morris knotted the score at 43-all on a layup by Breanna DuBois as time expired to send the game to overtime. Sluder finished with 11 points and eight rebounds, and Karley Eaton also pulled down eight rebounds.

Rebecca Stevenson led the Hawks with 17 points and Jazzlynn Brewster added 10.
