TACOMA, Wash. —

Arlington survived a buzzer-beating three-pointer to edge Lake Stevens 66-64 in overtime of a semifinal game in the 4A state girls basketball tournament Friday night.

Arlington's Lindsay Brown scored six of her 14 points in the extra session, including the go-ahead 3-pointer that gave the Eagles a 62-61 lead with 1:53 remaining. Arlington never trailed after that, clinching the victory when Brown rebounded an intentionally-missed free throw in the final second of overtime.

The Eagles (22-4) made a second-half comeback and led 56-53 in the final seconds of regulation before Lake Stevens senior Brittney Pahukoa hit a 3 at the buzzer to send the game into overtime. That shot came with some controversy after Arlington was charged with a timeout in the closing seconds of regulation, giving Lake Stevens a second chance after Pahukoa's first shot fell short.

Pahukoa fouled out 57 seconds into the extra session, leaving twin sister Brooke Pahukoa to carry the load. Brooke Pahukoa finished with a game-high 28 points but turned the ball over when Arlington's Krista Showalter tipped an inbounds pass with 4.1 seconds remaining and the Eagles leading by two points.

Brown hit one of two free throws for a three-point lead with 2.8 seconds remaining, then Showalter fouled Brooke Pahukoa on the inbounds pass to prevent another tying 3-point shot. Pahukoa made the first free throw and intentionally missed the second before Arlington's Brown corralled the rebound to put the Eagles into their first 4A state title game.

Jayla Russ led Arlington with 23 points.
