YAKIMA, Wash. —

Caleb Taylor scored 15 of his game-high 18 points in the second half to lead King's past defending Class 1A boys champion Lynden Christian 45-38 in the state semifinals on Friday.

The victory sends the Knights (21-6) into Saturday's championship game against either Toledo or Cedar Park Christian. King's also avenged a 61-52 loss to LC in early February.

Taylor snapped a 31-all tie with a jumper that gave King's the lead for good with 5 minutes left. That started a 10-2 run, including seven points from Taylor. Calvin Kispert chipped in 10 points for the Knights.

Isaac Reimer led LC (22-6) with 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Dustin Brandsma added 11 points and six rebounds.

The Lyncs trailed just 21-19 at halftime, but shot only 23 percent (5 of 22) in the second half.
