Sound Transit Sounder commuter trains from Everett have been stopped by a man up a tree in Seattle near a bridge in the Ballard area.
Sound Transit says two trains were forced to stop Friday morning and those passengers are being put on buses at Edmonds.
Meanwhile, police and firefighters are trying to deal with the man who climbed about 40 feet up a tree near the tracks.
The man has been taking off his clothes and tying them to branches.
KOMO Radio reports firefighters with backboards and ladders are ready to help while a police negotiator is trying to talk him into coming down.
