Cedar Park Christian defeats Seattle Academy 61-43
Evan Scholten scored 19 points and Luke Saufferer scored 18 as Cedar Park Christian used a big third quarter to beat Seattle Academy 61-43 on Thursday in the Class 1A boys state quarterfinals.

The Eagles (21-2) outscored the Cardinals 23-2 in the third quarter to blow open the game. Seattle Academy never got within single digits in the final period.
The Eagles shot 50 percent (11 of 22) in the second half. Scholten and Saufferer each had nine points after intermission.
The Cardinals (21-2), who shot 44 percent in the first half, went cold in the second, making just 21 percent.
Calin Washington led Seattle Academy with 19 points. Jeremiah Hobbs added 11 rebounds.
