Toledo tops Okanogan 58-43

Brennan Rakoz led four Toledo players in double figures with 16 points, and the Indians defeated Okanogan 58-43 on Thursday in the Class 1A boys state quarterfinals.

YAKIMA, Wash. —

Brennan Rakoz led four Toledo players in double figures with 16 points, and the Indians defeated Okanogan 58-43 on Thursday in the Class 1A boys state quarterfinals.

Austin Trafelet and Brent Wood each added 14 points and Grant McEwen chipped in 12 points as the Indians (24-1) overcame a sluggish first half.

McEwen started an 11-0 run with a half-court 3-pointer at the intermission buzzer, putting the Indians ahead 31-30. Toledo scored the first eight points of the third quarter, and opened the fourth quarter with a 16-0 run that put the game away.

The Indians shot 47 percent while the Bulldogs made 29 percent.

Justin Rivas led Okanogan (23-2) with 23 points.
