King's defeats Granger 58-31

YAKIMA, Wash. —

David Barhanovich scored a game-high 12 points as King's raced to a 58-31 quarterfinal victory over Granger on Thursday in the Class 1A boys state tournament.

The Knights (20-6) pulled out to a 17-5 lead after the first quarter, and the Spartans (18-7) couldn't mount a serious threat the rest of the way.

The Knights sank seven 3-pointers, including a pair by Barhanovich.

Jose Marquez led Granger with 10 points.
