Whitney Elledge and Ashley Kelly each scored 11 points as Morton-White Pass beat DeSales 35-31 on Thursday to advance to the semifinals of the Class 2B girls state tournament.

Lina Hieronymi added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Timberwolves (17-6). Teresa Acock and Molli Lesko each had eight points for the Irish (14-7), who will play in a loser-out game.

Trailing 28-25 midway through the fourth quarter, Morton-White Pass scored six straight points to grab a 31-28 lead on Hieronymi's two foul shots with 1:34 left.

After a three-point play by Hannah Leahy tied the game at 31-all with 1:16 remaining, Kelly hit a shot in the lane and Hieronymi followed with two more foul shots to seal it.
