Bellevue turns to youth to knock off Glacier Peak
Bellevue freshmen Tatiana Streun and Shelby Cansler led a strong fourth-quarter performance to help the Wolverines pull away late and claim a 50-39 victory over Glacier Peak in the Class 3A quarterfinals Thursday at the Tacoma Dome.

Bellevue freshmen Tatiana Streun and Shelby Cansler led a strong fourth-quarter performance to help the Wolverines pull away late and claim a 50-39 victory over Glacier Peak in the Class 3A quarterfinals Thursday at the Tacoma Dome.
Streun finished with 12 points - five in the fourth quarter - and 13 rebounds in the victory, while Cansler had eight points and eight rebounds.
The Wolverines (25-2), who outscored Glacier Peak 24-13 in the fourth quarter, play Cleveland (25-2) on Friday in the semifinals. The Grizzlies (18-7) play University (14-11) in a consolation game.
Nicole Fausey led Glacier Peak with 10 points and Taylor Baird added four points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Mandy Steward scored a game-high 14 points for the Wolverines.
