SPOKANE, Wash. —

Dylan Hartz scored 18 points and hit the go-ahead 3-pointer, helping Lind-Ritzville-Sprague defeat Northwest Christian 49-46 on Thursday and move on to the semifinals of the Class 2B boys state tournament.

Connor O'Neill added nine points for the Broncos (22-8). Austin Friedly scored 11 points for the Crusaders (14-8), who will play in a loser-out game.

In a back-and-forth game neither team led by more than five. Lind-Ritzville-Sprague grabbed a 47-44 lead on Hartz's 3 with 2 minutes left.

A reverse layup by Friedly closed the gap to 47-46 with 20 seconds remaining. But O'Neill pushed the Broncos' lead back to three, sinking two foul shots with 19.1 seconds left.

NW Christian missed a 3 with 7 seconds left, and after Lind-Ritzville-Sprague missed the front end of a 1-and-1 with 5.1 seconds remaining, the Crusaders failed to get a shot off after turning it over in the final seconds.
