Late 3 pushes Renton past Sequim in overtime
Zach Lee grabbed a loose ball at midcourt and banked in a 3-pointer as time expired giving Renton a 59-56 overtime win over Sequim on Thursday in the Class 2A boys quarterfinals.

Zach Lee grabbed a loose ball at midcourt and banked in a 3-pointer as time expired giving Renton a 59-56 overtime win over Sequim on Thursday in the Class 2A boys quarterfinals.
Lavelle Smith led Renton (24-2) with 17 points and Jonathan Patterson added 10 in a game that featured eight ties and 10 lead changes. Smith hit one of two free throws with 19.2 seconds left in regulation to knot the score at 49-49 and eventually send the game into overtime.
Jayson Brocklesby paced Sequim (21-5) with 16 points, Alex Bar ad 13 and Gabe Carter 12. Sequim shot 48 percent (19 of 40) in the game.
Renton out rebounded Sequim 50-27. Jordan Holland grabbed 10 rebounds, Patterson eight and Smith seven.
