Utah women beat Washington State, 59-47

Taryn Wicijowski had 22 points and nine rebounds on Sunday and Utah won its final home game of the season, defeating Washington State 59-47.

Taryn Wicijowski had 22 points and nine rebounds on Sunday and Utah won its final home game of the season, defeating Washington State 59-47.

Iwalani Rodrigues scored 17 points and Michelle Plouffe scored 11 for the Utes (16-11, 7-9 Pac-12). Rodrigues and Plouffe also had five assists for Utah, which overcame a slow start by finishing the first half with a 17-4 run to lead 29-24 at the break.

Lia Galdeira was the only player in double figures for the Cougars (10-17, 6-10), scoring 14 points.

Utah has won five of its last six games while Washington State has dropped three straight.
