SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. —

The Spokane Valley Police Department says a man who was knocked unconscious Saturday in a restaurant parking lot died Thursday of his injuries.

The medical examiner's office says 32-year-old Chad W. Mathis was killed by a blunt impact to his head that caused skull fractures and brain damage.

Deputies are looking for a man who punched Mathis in a fight, knocking him to the ground in the parking lot of Mama's Thaiway Lounge. The suspect drove off in a car with a woman.
