Jurors in Tacoma, Wash., have convicted a man in the fatal stabbing of his 21-year-old girlfriend.
Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist said 25-year-old Joseph Lester was convicted Thursday of second-degree murder in the 2011 death of Keisha Lewis.
She left behind two young children.
After the Oct. 31, 2011, stabbing, Lester fled in his car with the couple's 9-month-old daughter. He turned himself in hours later.
At trial, he claimed he had been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder when the stabbing occurred.
Sentencing was scheduled March 8.
