SEATTLE —

The five-member Port of Seattle Commission has two vacancies to fill.

Commissioner Rob Holland announced Wednesday he'll resign March 15 to pursue other opportunities. The Seattle Times reported Sunday that Holland's three years on the job have been troubled by port credit card misuse, personal financial problems and tense relationships with colleagues and port staff.

The commission also has to fill the seat left vacant by the resignation last month of Gael Tarleton to serve in the state House.

The commission is expected to name two appointees next month to serve until the November election.

The port owns and operates Sea-Tac Airport and cargo and cruise ship terminals. It has 1,700 employees.
