SPOKANE, Wash. —

The Spokane City Council passed an ordinance Monday night to bring the city law in line with the marijuana legalization initiative approved by state voters.

KHQ reports (http://bit.ly/12ICVF2) the ordinance defines what forms of marijuana use are legal in the city limits. It also makes it illegal to have marijuana openly in public - similar to the law that makes it illegal to have alcohol out in the open.

Meanwhile, the state Liquor Control Board is holding a forum Tuesday night at the Spokane Convention Center. It's one of six forums the board is holding around the state as it drafts rules to implement Initiative 502.
