Law officers in Pend Oreille (pon-duh-RAY') County are looking for a 24-year-old man in connection with the stabbing death of a relative in Elk.

The Pend Oreille County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic violence call at a home about 8:41 p.m. Sunday night and discovered 56-year-old Sally Swancara dead from apparent stab wounds.

Sheriff's Sgt. Questin Youk says Matthew John Swancara fled the scene prior to their arrival.

Authorities say the suspect and victim are related, but did not provide details.
