A military police officer has waived her extradition hearing in Washington state, meaning she'll be brought to Wisconsin to face charges that she helped her husband hide his half-brother's corpse.
Shannon L. Remus is charged in Wisconsin's Dane County with being party to the crime of hiding a corpse. She appeared in Washington's Pierce County Superior Court on Wednesday, where deputy clerk Melissa Engler says Remus opted not to fight extradition.
A message left with Remus's temporary public defender, Kerry Glasoe-Grant (GLAS'-oh grant), was not immediately returned.
Remus was arrested at the Lewis-McChord military base Tuesday. She's a U.S. Army police officer with the rank of private.
Her husband is charged with torturing and killing his autistic half-brother in Wisconsin last summer. Dane County prosecutors say Remus helped organize the burial.
