VANCOUVER, Wash. —

The 500 students from Crestline Elementary are missing just three days of class after fire destroyed their building on Sunday.

Evergreen Public Schools says 23 classrooms are moving into five other elementary schools on Thursday.

Spokeswoman Carol Fenstermacher says, to make it happen, a total of 60 classrooms had to move. Some classes moved rooms so grade levels could stay together. In one school computers were moved out of a lab. In another school a music teacher gave up her room.

Fenstermacher says the Crestline students won't have to make up lost days because the district has a pretty good argument on why they were out of class.

Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire and insurance adjusters are adding up the total dollar loss.
