The Washington state Health Department is turning to Twitter as one more way to make a late season push to promote flu vaccine.

The Washington state Health Department is turning to Twitter as one more way to make a late season push to promote flu vaccine.
State Health Officer Maxine Hayes is hosting a Twitter chat at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday to offer advice about flu shots and treating the disease, using the hashtag WaFlu.
There have been 28 lab-confirmed flu deaths in Washington.
State Health Department spokesman Donn Moyer says the flu this season is a harsh strain, especially on the elderly.
