EVERETT, Wash. —

A Lynnwood man accused of shooting his 4-year-old stepdaughter with an Airsoft gun was charged Thursday with second-degree assault.

Documents filed in Snohomish County Superior Court called the shooting punishment the equivalent of torture.

The Daily Herald reports ( http://bit.ly/UJeH8R) 26-year-old Stetson Tedder is free on $25,000 bail.

He was arrested Jan. 24 and accused of tying up the girl with zip ties and shooting her at least three-dozen times with plastic BBs until her skin looked like chicken pox.
