SPOKANE, Wash. —

Spokane County commissioners passed a resolution Tuesday opposing the Spokane Tribe's plan to build a shopping and gambling complex at Airway Heights, near Fairchild Air Force Base.

KREM reports (http://bit.ly/XhXv93) commissioners are worried the project is too close to the base and could cause the Air Force to reduce the role of Fairchild in training air crews or hosting the next generation of air tankers.
