Police officers investigating a series of armed robberies and a home invasion shooting in Vancouver say they fatally shot an armed 16-year-old.
Police say the teen was the primary suspect in the Friday crime spree.
They say officers encountered Douglas E. Combs and another teen Friday night, when an officer opened fire, killing Combs. The other teen, who is also 16, was interviewed and booked on a firearms count.
Camas police are investigating the shooting. Vancouver police aren't releasing the name of the officer, who has been put on paid administrative leave, per protocol.
