Drivers who use the Interstate 90 floating bridge between Seattle and Bellevue have until Feb. 22 to provide input for a Washington state study about potential tolls.

The Legislature told the state Transportation Department to do an environmental assessment of the potential effects of tolling the I-90 bridge across Lake Washington to help pay for the nearby State Route 520 bridge replacement. That construction project for the other Lake Washington crossing has a funding gap of about $1.4 billion.

The state says public comments will help determine the range of issues covered in the assessment.

Meetings are set Jan. 29 in Mercer Island, Jan. 30 in Bellevue and Jan. 31 in Seattle.
