LYNNWOOD, Wash. —

A Lynnwood man has been arrested after allegedly tying up a 4-year-old girl and shooting her dozens of times with a pellet rifle.

The 26-year-old was booked into the Snohomish County jail Thursday for investigation of second-degree assault on a child and unlawful imprisonment.

The case came to light when the little girl's grandmother noticed red dots on her body and asked what had happened. According to court documents, the girl told detectives the man shot her after he became angry when she woke him up early. The girl has since been taken into protective custody.
