WASHOUGAL, Wash. —

Police in the southwest Washington community of Washougal say two men forced their way into a 74-year-old woman's house, then bound her with duct tape, dragged her by her hair to another room and robbed her.

The woman told police she was home alone Tuesday night when she answered her doorbell and found a young man who asked if she had seen his dog. A second man suddenly appeared and knocked her to the floor.

Police say after the men left, the woman worked herself free, found her phone was not working and went to a neighbor's house for help.

She said the man who rang her doorbell was in his teens or early 20s and that both men spoke with what she described as an eastern European accent.

A search with a K-9 team failed to locate the men.

The woman was treated for injuries she suffered when she was knocked down.
