Two pop bottles have exploded inside Spokane's Ferris High School, prompting officials to evacuate the school.
The first bottle blew up near the start of the school day Wednesday in a hallway. Several hours later, a second device exploded in the school commons as emergency crews examined the liquid in the first bottle.
The school began evacuations after the second explosion.
KREM-TV of Spokane reported that a custodian suffered skin irritation while cleaning up after the first explosion.
Members of the Spokane Police Department and the Spokane Fire Department are on the scene. Neither department could immediately say what types of liquids were in the bottles.
