Unruh guides N. Colorado past E. Washington 72-56

GREELEY, Colo. —

Tate Unruh scored 21 points, including five 3-pointers, helping Northern Colorado defeat Eastern Washington 72-56 on Saturday night.

Derrick Barden scored 15 points and Tim Huskisson scored 14 for Northern Colorado (5-11, 3-5 Big Sky).

Barden also grabbed 15 rebounds, helping Northern Colorado to a 47-29 advantage in that department.

Venky Jois had a big game for Eastern Washington (4-14, 2-6) with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 blocked shots.

Collin Chiverton added 13 points for Eastern Washington and Parker Kelly had 11.

Northern Colorado had a 14-4 scoring advantage off turnovers and a 16-9 edge in second-chance points.
