Officers kill fugitive suspect in Vancouver

Police say members of a U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force shot and killed a wanted suspect Friday morning in Vancouver.

VANCOUVER, Wash. —

Police say members of a U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force shot and killed a wanted suspect Friday morning in Vancouver.

Police say the suspect rammed an undercover police vehicle. Officers got out and approached the driver. Police says the driver "escalated the situation," and several officers fired.

The suspect died at the scene.

Police say the man was a suspect in several felony cases.

The shooting took place about 11 a.m. at an apartment complex.

The fugitive task force is made up officers from the U.S. Marshals Service, Washington Department of Corrections and Vancouver police.
