MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. —

Spokane County sheriff's detectives have recovered fingerprints and shoe prints from a Medical Lake church where vandals broke windows, kicked in doors and wrote messages such as "die."

About $50,000 in damage occurred overnight Saturday at the Lake Assembly of God, and church members spent Sunday cleaning up.

Pastor Dennis Noble told KREM ( http://bit.ly/Y5fV1p) the vandalism is being investigated as a hate crime because the intent was apparently damage. Very few items were stolen.
