Spokane police searching a doctors' office building near Sacred Heart Medical Center after a report of a possible armed man had found no gunman by late Friday night.

Police spokeswoman Officer Jennifer DeRuwe said she was working to get more information.

KHQ-TV reported that officers had been unable to find anything suspicious after a sweep of the building and its garage.

Earlier in the evening, several witnesses reported seeing a man with some sort of firearm tucked under one of his arms.
