SPOKANE, Wash. —

Homeless people who have been camping under an Interstate 90 viaduct in downtown Spokane are facing a Friday afternoon deadline to move on.

Police handed out 24-hour notices Thursday to pack up their tents.

KREM reports ( http://bit.ly/13nivzg) social workers are helping the homeless find temporary housing. But those who don't comply with the city's new policy could be arrested.
