VANCOUVER, Wash. —

The Clark County prosecutor's office says a bus driver will not face criminal charges in the death last April 28 of an 11-year-old bicyclist in downtown Vancouver, Wash.

The Columbian reports ( http://is.gd/OtGRLx) that Ben Fulwiler died after a collision with a C-Tran bus driven by Deborah Knox. The driver has been on paid leave since the crash.

In a decision released Thursday, Senior Deputy Prosecutor Kasey Vu found that Knox was driving in "a normal fashion" and the bus was traveling its normal route. The prosecutor wrote that surveillance on the bus and witnesses indicated Fulwiler's bike ran into the side of the bus, rather than Knox striking him,

C-Tran officials were not immediately available to answer questions about Knox's employment status.
